The Sporty Mum

With Mother’s Day coming up, we’re thinking of our beautiful mum’s and how special they are. They give so much and take so little, so this Mother’s Day, we want to show them how much we appreciate and love them in return, no matter what type of mum they are.
 
The Sporty Mum (not to forget Sporty Grandma) is always up for a challenge. She’s strong, inside and out. She loves new experiences and pushing boundaries is her idea of fun.
 
She sets a positive example for everyone around her. Healthy = happy. Healthy body, healthy mind, healthy life. Give her an experience she’s never had before, and she’ll be over the moon. That’s not to say she doesn’t indulge too. But the SM knows her balance. The Sporty Mum is about living and loving.
 
So how does one spoil a SM this Mother’s Day? Here are a few ideas that will make her day as spectacular as she is:
 
  • Indoor skydiving - Whether she’s done the real thing or not, indoor skydiving is a thrill and an adventure. She’ll feel the rush and be able to practice her moves before next Mother’s Day where you might spoil her with the real thing!
  • Horse riding - A simple trail ride, or a twilight ride with dinner under the stars. A ride along the beach or a day ride stopping for lunch by a waterfall. Her inner adventurer will love you.
  • Bubble soccer - Why not get a group of friends and mums together for a game of bubble soccer? Literally… soccer, encased in an inflated bubble. Active, fun, crazy and hilarious. She’ll love it. So will everyone else.
  • Kayaking - Rent a few kayaks, pack a picnic and paddle to a remote and beautiful location for lunch. Activity + water + scenery + food + wine = Mother’s Day heaven.
  • Scuba diving/Shark diving - If mum is a thrill seeker, take her swimming with sharks (or other more friendly varieties). Even if she’s done it before, a new location is always a new, exhilarating experience.
  • Surf/paddle board lessons - Is your mum an Aussie beach babe? Take her out on the waves, with some mother daughter surf or paddle board lessons.
  • Trapeze lessons - Take mum’s sense of adventure and adrenaline levels to the next level with some adult trapeze lessons. No matter her (or your) age, fitness level or ability, these custom-made classes will teach her how to fly.
  • Day spa - After a fun and physical day, tend to those sore muscles by spoiling mum with a nice hot stone massage, body wrap or hydro spa. There will be no better way to unwind after a day of excitement than to pause, relax and be pampered.
