Hunter New England Health have advised there has been new COVID-19 exposure site identified at Charlestown Square.

On Saturday 18 September 2021 from 2.21pm to 3.03pm an infected individual visited Woolworths. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended this venue on the specified date, within the specified timeframes is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Friday, 10 September 2021 from 8.03pm to 8.12pm an infected individual visited Woolworths. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended this venue on the specified date, within the specified timeframes is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Thursday, 9 September 2021 from 11.40am to 12pm and on Saturday, 11 September from 11am to 11.25am an infected individual visited Woolworths. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended these venues on the specified dates, within the specified timeframes is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Tuesday, 24 August 2021 from 4.02pm to 4.36pm an infected individual visited Woolworths and on Sunday, 29 August 2021 from 10.25am to 11.25am an infected individual visited Coles. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended these venues on the specified dates, within the specified timeframes is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Sunday, 29 August 2021 from 11.20am to 11.30am an infected individual visited Dan Murphy's. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended this venue on the specified date, within the specified timeframe is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Sunday, 22 August 2021 from 3.32pm to 4.00pm and Tuesday, 24 August from 2.17pm to 2.34pm an infected individual visited Woolworths. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended this venue on the specified dates, within the specified timeframes is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Wednesday 25 August 2021 Coles was visited by an infected individual from 10.15am to 10.25am. As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended this venue on the specified date, within the specified timeframe is considered a casual contact (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Wednesday, 4 August 2021 between 1.04pm and 3.45pm anyone who visited Charlestown Square on the specified date, within the specified timeframe, are considered casual contacts (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

  • City Beach from 9am to 2pm
  • McDonald’s from 9am to 9.10am 
  • Van Gool Patisserie from 12pm to 12.10pm.  
As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended these venues on the specified dates, within the specified timeframe are considered casual contacts (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Wednesday, 4 August 2021 the following sites were visited by an affected individual: 
  • Ghanda. from 9.05am to 9.15am
  • Big W from 9.16am to 10am.
As advised by Hunter New England Health, anyone who attended these venues on the specified dates, within the specified timeframe are considered casual contacts (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and are urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

On Monday, 2 August 2021 between 12.41pm and 1.06pm two infected individuals visited the Food Court. If you were in the Food Court at Charlestown Square within this timeframe you are considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

If you visited Charlestown Square Shopping Centre on Thursday, 29 July 2021 between 3pm and 6pm you are considered a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

On Thursday, 29 July 2021 an infected individual is understood to have attended the following areas at Charlestown Square: Apple Store, Priceline Pharmacy, Nextra Newsagency, Pearl Nails, Cotton On, Jay Jays, Glassons, Boost Juice, Supre, Factorie and the Charlestown Square food court. As a result, if you were present at these stores at the times listed below, NSW Health have advised you are now considered a close contact and must get tested and isolate for 14 days. A comprehensive deep clean of these tenancies will be undertaken.

Locations of close contacts on Thursday, 29 July 2021:
  • Apple Store from 3.10pm to 3.50pm
  • Nextra Newsagency from 3.16pm to 3.22pm and 4.18pm to 4 .24pm
  • Pearl Nails from 3.23pm to 4.18pm
  • Boost Juice 3.52pm to 3.56pm
  • Cotton On from 3.57pm to 3.58pm
  • Jay Jays from 3.58pm to 4.13pm and 4.54pm to 4.59pm
  • Priceline Pharmacy from 4.20pm to 4.25pm
  • Glassons from 4.26pm to 4.41pm
  • Supre from 4.43pm to 4.53pm
  • Factorie from 5.02pm to 5.08pm
  • Charlestown Square Food Court (Guzman y Gomez and McDonalds) from 5.09pm to 5.44pm

Centre management continues to monitor the situation, and are following all relevant advice and guidance issued by NSW Health. As a precautionary measure, the centre has undergone a thorough deep clean. The heightened cleaning regimes already implemented will remain in place throughout all high traffic areas and the centre will remain open for trade.

The comfort and safety of customers, tenants, contractors and staff at Charlestown Square remains the utmost priority at all times.
